Representation of a green process of microalgae oil production. The production of refined microalgae oils involves different steps. The first step is the culture of the microalgae strain via fermentation including a growth step, and then the accumulation of lipid and n-3 LC-PUFA. At the end of the fermentation, crude oil is extracted with a solventless process. The crude oil obtained is then refined using gentle processes to protect the oil.
