Neuronal survival promoted by DHA in a PS-dependent manner (from Kim et al., 2000). Neuro 2A cells were supplemented with 25 μM DHA or oleic acid (OA) for 2 days in the control or serine-free media, and the PS content and caspase-3 activity induced by 24 h serum deprivation were evaluated.
