Biofuels are now an integral part of the energy mix. Today the first generation biofuels represent an immediate operational solution to limit emissions of greenhouse gases in the transport sector. By 2020, second-generation biofuels will complement the range of renewable energies to achieve the objectives of incorporation as proposed by the European Union.
Key words: biofuels / greenhouse gase / European Union
