The International Symposium on Sunflower and Climate Change is organized in the frame of the SUNRISE project, by INRA Toulouse (Institut National de Recherche en Agronomie) and the French technical center for oilseed crops, grain legumes and fibre crops (Terres Inovia), in collaboration with the International Sunflower Association (ISA), the Association for Promotion of Oilseed Plant Selection (Promosol) and the International Consortium for Sunflower Genomics Resources (ICSG).
The organizing committee will be very pleased to welcome you in the city of Toulouse (France) for the International Symposium on Sunflower and Climate Change. This symposium will take place in Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Jacques on February 5th and February 6th 2018.
This symposium will be the opportunity for scientists, breeders and producers working on sunflower from all over the world to meet, exchange and reinforce collaboration. The symposium will cover all areas of sunflower and adaptation to climate change research with updates on the most recent developments in all fields. It will be organized in 5 sessions: Genome functioning and diversity, Emergent pests and diseases, Resilience and stability of production, Predicting from local to global scales and Future of sunflower. Our objectives are to have a high scientific level and to promote discussions among participants.
This conference will allow you to enjoy Toulouse, a charming city in south of France. It is also an important area for sunflower production in France and in Europe.
