Orosensory variability of lipid perception in adult obese subjects. Lipid perception thresholds performed using the three-alternative forced-choice tests with linoleic acid (LA) as lipid model. To explore the putative links between orosensory perception of LA and oral microbiota composition, and to overcome limitation due to the great variability of lipid perception, it was postulated that all the subjects displaying a threshold value ≤ 0.05% LA (i.e. LA median value) were high-LA tasters (HLT), others being low-LA tasters (LLT) Mean ± SEM, p < 0.001. O, obese subjects.
